John Bloomfield was born in 1887, he started the removal business in 1916 after leaving the army during the First World War.
He bought our present premises in Walton High Street, Felixstowe Suffolk in 1920. Starting by selling second hand furniture, over the years we have progressed into offering a full range of new furniture and carpets.
John Bloomfield had two sons George & Stanley. George started working for his father after he left school, George looked after the horses, which pulled the four wheeled Furniture Pantechnicon, he dealt mostly with the removal side of the business. Stanley worked in the furniture shop until he entered national service with the RAF.
After the Second World War he returned to the business and together with his brother George built up the Removal side of the business eventually aquiring two pantechnicons.
